Root LG G Stylo (MetroPCS)

This guide will show you how to root the LG G Stylo running Lollipop 5.1.1 from MetroPCS or T-mobile.

Downloads:

Guide:
  • Enable USB Debugging in Developer Options. 

  •  Decompress LGGSTYLO_LP511_OneClickRoot.zip on Root C: drive for easy access or any convenient location. 
  •  Now lets head over where we decompress that zip file and just double " LG_Root_Script.bat "
  • LET the script run to FULL COMPLETION, Your Device will Reboot twice so be patient. 
  • When it says Done!
  • press Ctrl+C 
    press then ENTER

IF YOU HAVE YOU DEVICE WITH LOCKSCREEN CODE / SWIPE CODE NEED TO UNLOCK SCREEN ON EACH REBOOT FOR THE SCRIPT TO PROCEED

This guide will walk you thru the steps to install Xposed framework on your LG Optimus F60 MS395.

  • Download the Xposed Installer.
  • Install Xposed Installer
  • Open Xposed Installer
  • Grant Xposed Installer root permission.

  • Tap Framework

  • Tap Install/Update

  • Install will finish and say you need to reboot. 
  • Tap Ok

Custom Recovery LG F60 MS395 (MetroPCS)

This Guide will show you how to easily install TWRP (Custom Recovery) on the LG F60 (MS345-MetroPCS). You need to have root which can be obtained here.

How to:
  1. Under the FLASH tab using the Flashify app click Recovery Image.
  2. Find the recovery-lg-f60-ms395.img file you downloaded.
  3. Click on the img file then you will be prompted with a Flash Recovery? screen.
  4. Click YUP if you would like to continue with the flash or MAYBE NOT... if you chose the wrong file or have changed your mind.
  5. If you chose to continue flashing you will see a working box which says Flashing...
  6. A box which says Flash Completed will show after flash is complete.
  7. Click Reboot Now.
Boot into recovery:
  1. Power Device Off
  2. Click and hold volume down and power button. Hold down until you see the lg logo. When you see the LG logo release the volume down and power button for a split second. Then quickly press the volume down and power button down again until you see the screen that says Factory data reset
  3. Erase All user data and restore default settings? Volume up or down to YES. Click Power button once.
  4. A second screen will confirm. Erase all user data and restore default settings? Volume button up or down and select yes. Click the power button once.
  5. The TWRP recovery will display.

UNBRICK/FIX LG Optimus F60 (MS395-MetroPCS)

This is for the MetroPCS LG Optimus F60 MS345 Variant. Do not try to use this on any other version.

Instructions:
1. Remove the battery and put it back in. 

2. Hold the Volume Up button  while connecting to USB Cable to the phone.

3. The Volume up button needs to be held until it reaches download mode

4. Open device manager and change the LGE Mobile USB Serial port to COM 20

5. Open the Flash Tool

6. Select Type: 3GQCT 

7. PhoneMode: EMERGENCY

8. KDZ : MS39510g_00.kdz (Navigate to where you downloaded the kdz and select.)

9. Click on Normal Flash 

10. Click on Clear update registry

11. Country: different country

12. Language: English

13. Click okay and wait for the LG Mobile Support tool to recognize the device. It takes a minute or two but the tool will recognize it. The software starts the extraction and re-boots at %100. You can remove USB cable, your device will boot normally.

TESTED:
 This was tested on a MetroPCS LG Optimus F60 MS395. The phone was stuck in a LG Security ERROR. The Phone was flashed with wrong bootloader and ROM. Using this method returned it to stock firmware. If you had root it will be loss.

Xposed for LG Leon LGMS345 d/e/y (MetroPCS)

This guide will show you how to installed Xposed framework on your MetroPCS LG Leon LSMS345 d/e/y variants.

Before:

  1. Make Sure you have root.
  2. Make Sure bootloader is unlocked.
  3. Installed Custom Recovery
Downloads: (Save both)
  1. Xposed Installer 3.0 Alpha (APK File) You can install this after downloading but do not open.
  2. Xposed Framework (ZIP File) (Save)
Install:
  1. Boot into recovery.(Power device off , Power device back on holding the power and volume down buttons at the same time. When the LG Logo appears release the power and volume button and immediately repress the power and volume down button until the stock recovery menu appears. It will ask if you want to factory restore? Use volume button to yes and click power button. repeat on next screen. This will bring up the TWRP Recovery Menu.
  2. Click Install 
  3. Select the Xposed ZIP file and flash to phone.
  4. Reboot to System.
  5. Install the Xposed Installed APK if you have not already.
  6. Open Xposed 3.0 APK

  1.  DarkTube v1.0 (Does not work)
  2. YouTube AdAway v3.0.5 (Works)
  3. YouTube BackGround Play v1,7.6 (Works)
  4. Greenify v2.7.1 (Works)

  7. Three Dot Menu (Works/ Removes bottom menu / Crashes)

LG Leon LGMS345 d/e/y - MetroPCS - Install Custom Recovery

Only Install the custom recovery if you have rooted and unlocked your bootloader. This is tested on the MetroPCS LG Leon LGMS345 d/e/y variants.


We are not responsible for any damage you may incur from following this guide.

  1. Phone is rooted!
  2. Bootloader is unlocked!
  3. Download Flashify from the google playstore.
  4. Download custom recovery for LG Leon and move to sd card.
  5. Open Flashify and grant it superuser permission.
  6. Click flash recovery.
  7. select the custom recovery you downloaded in step 4.
  8. Click Yup and thats it!
Now you will be able to boot into the TWRP recovery by holding down the (down volume + power button when booting on. When you see the LG logo during boot release and press (down volume + power) and re hold. The default Lg recovery screen will popup asking you if you want to reload the system click yes. It will ask again click yes. Then TWRP will load.

ROMS:
[ROM][5.1.1][MS345] Unofficial CyanogenMod 12.1 for LG Leon

I have tested the rom on the y variant for metroPCS using version cm-12.1-20150906-UNOFFICIAL-ms345

BUGS:

  1. Crashes the first few times loading. 
  2. Camera does not exist.
Fixed:
  1. GPS Crashing 
  2. Tethering

LG Leon LGMS345 d/e/y Variants - MetroPCS

This will root your phone and install SuperSU. 


Requirements:
  1.  LG Leon LGMS34510 d/e/f  - Lollipop 5.1.1 
  2. Computer running windows.
  3. Unlocked bootloader. If you do not unlock your bootloader you will soft brick your phone.
How to unlock bootloader on your LG Leon?




  • Launch the Settings Application

    1. Scroll Down and Tap on About Phone(or About Device)
    2. Locate the Build Number Section
    3. Tap on the Build Number Option 7 Times
    4. Go Back to the Main Settings Page
    5. Scroll Down and Tap on Developer Options
    6. Enable USB Debugging mode.
    7. Look for the ‘OEM Unlock’ Option in the Developer Mode Section (tap and check the box)
    Now the bootloader is unlocked.

    Downloads:
    LG ROOT ZIP  (LG Leon one click root zip)
    LG Drivers (LG Universal drivers. You may already have installed)
    1. Navigate to downloads and install LG Drivers.
    2. Navigate to download location and UNZIP the file. LG_Leon_OCR_v2.zip
    3. Navigate to the unzipped folder \LG_Leon_OCR_v2
    4. Connect your LG leon to the computer via USB cable. Make sure you have unlocked bootloader.
    5. In the LG_Leon_OCR_v2 folder click the root.bat (This will root your device)
    6. follow the instructions and wait. (Phone will reboot a couple times)
    7. When done you may need to remove battery and reboot.
    8. You are now rooted.


    This was tested and working on d/e/y variants.

    Now that you have root you can install a custom recovery and custom rom.
